This looks a lot cooler large. The anti-scratch coating on my glasses is peeling off. It's been happening for at least a couple of months now, but last night I finally got fed up with having blurred vision, so I put on my old glasses. I don't really like the frames, but at least I can see.
Allan took this one. I look a lot like my mom, I think.
Next up, making an eye doctor appointment.

...thereby defeating the purpose of anti-scratch coating. Yeesh, that sucks. Makes for a pretty cool photo, though.

You must be using metal utencils when you cook. Try switching to wood.
It works for Teflon.

Your mom is 24, tanned, and makes Allan make that 'hubba hubba' sound all the time? You're strain my credulity.

If only there were an anti-malaise coating for the soul... I think love works for a while, but like the cover for your lenses, that can only shield you for so long.
Challenge and be challenged. You are a teacher, but you work best on a specific target. Be a tutor, mentor or whatever you want to call it for gifted high school and college students who are passionate about French. Mon soeur lived in France for 2 years, arriving there with nothing but optimism and the knowledge of the language as taught by American standards. Only after a grueling 6 months was she able to understand the nuances not commonly discussed in textbooks. Granted, this was back in 79-80', but I doubt the American education institution has changed enough fully prepare these young minds for the formidible differences ahead of them.
Take what you got and use it, Alison. Use it in the name of good.

Can I go against the grain and say I actually like those glasses? Or maybe just Allan makes you look a magazine model in every photo he takes.

I like the old glasses better.

That's a bummer about the glasses. (And they're never inexpensive to fix or replace.)
:-(

Good lesson learned. Unfortunalely at your expense. I won't go for the anti scratch coating.

I like the old glasses!

I had that happen to the last pair I had. I was told later that the coating should be guarantteed and be fixed for free, you might want to check that out. The new pair I have has the coating also but is trouble free - apparently they have improved the process.

That ALWAYS happens with my anti-scratch coatings, after about two years, sometimes one, depending on where I get them made up. It is so annoying. I don't need a new prescription, but I reckon they build obsolescence into the darned things deliberately.

It's about that time for me, too. It's been two years and my eyes are starting to look bloodshot most of the time. That's how rumors get started!
