I'm tired. Mind you, I'm not complaining about this. I'm just sayin'.
Starting the new job while still having a big freelance job to complete has got me in a twist. My mind is racing, my time management skills (if I ever had any) have gone out for a three-hour lunch tour, and I'm exhausted.
Did I mention that I'm tired? I'm 36 years old and my organzational skills still suck. And that makes me angry at myself. Which makes me fidgety and unable to concentrate, so I procrastinate. It's a cycle I've been through before. I hate it.
This morning I woke up after sleeping for eight hours. Allan brought me a cup of coffee (as he does nearly every morning, the sweetie). I declined it and went back to sleep for another two hours. Scary.

Why scary? Give yourself a break!

you do deserve a break - enjoy it!! It might be a while before you get another.

I know how you feel. Starting a new job is killer. My house is a mess, my desk is a mess, and my schedule is too. I just started reading an organizational book, though, so I'll let you know if it works out! (The author also wrote a book about time management. If this book is good, I might have to get the other.)

no worries. you will get up to speed, and organizational skills... oh well, eventually.

Sleeping in is a luxury. Enjoy it. If you should find that you feel guilty, have a glass of wine in the middle of the day. If you should find that you feel bad about the wine, take a nap.
It works for me. Sometimes, I leave the house.

Do whatever works--and if the extra sleep and cup of coffee help, go for it.

I see it as you having developed perfect organizational skills. You got an extra, and much needed 2 hours of sleep, and Allan got an extra cup of coffee a few extra moments to photograph Mr. Jones. Exceptionally well played!
